Publication Ethics and Related Editorial Policies

Last Updated: February 2026

Goliterati Management Review (GMR) follows the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Core Practices and the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing (COPE–DOAJ–OASPA–WAME). These policies apply to all parties involved in the publication process: authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher.
1

General Principles

Editorial decisions are based solely on scholarly merit and relevance, without regard to nationality, ethnicity, gender, religious belief, institutional affiliation, or political orientation.

  • Zero tolerance for plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, image, or citation manipulation.
  • Adherence to COPE guidance for handling misconduct (pre- and post-publication).
  • Mandatory ethics approval for research involving humans or animals.
2

Duties of Authors

Reporting & Originality

Authors must present an accurate account of work and an objective discussion. Submissions must be entirely original and not published elsewhere.

Authorship & Contributorship

Limited to substantial contributors. GMR uses CRediT taxonomy and requires all authors to agree on authorship order.

Conflicts & Funding

Declaration of all financial and non-financial conflicts is mandatory. Undisclosed conflicts may lead to retraction.

Ethics & Consent

Must state the ethics committee name, approval number, and confirm informed consent (or waiver).

AI & Generative Technologies: Must be disclosed per COPE guidance. AI tools cannot be listed as authors; human authors remain fully responsible for content.

3

Duties of Editors

Editors have full authority over decisions, independent of commercial influence. They follow COPE flowcharts to handle ethical concerns and misconduct.

4

Duties of Reviewers

  • Confidentiality: Manuscripts must be treated as confidential.
  • Objectivity: Reviews must have clear supporting arguments without personal criticism.
  • Timeliness & Conflict: Must notify editors promptly or decline if a conflict exists.
5

Handling Allegations of Misconduct

Investigation

Consultation with institutions/funders and authors; investigation handled fairly and confidentially.

Outcomes

Rejection, Erratum/Correction, Expression of Concern, or Retraction based on severity.

6

Post-Publication Policies

  • Retractions: Issued for unreliable findings, misconduct, or honest errors.
  • Post-Publication Discussion: Letters to the editor are handled via peer review.
7

Publisher Responsibilities

PT Literati Global Network ensures editorial independence and alignment with DOAJ transparency principles.
