Manuscript Types
Please select the article type that best describes your manuscript. Each type has specific scope and word-count requirements:
Research Paper
Empirical research (quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods) with original data collection and analysis. Presents novel findings contributing to management theory and/or practice. Extensions up to 15,000 words may be granted for multi-study papers or meta-analyses. 7,000–12,000 words.
Conceptual Paper
Theory development, framework building, or conceptual model. Novel theoretical integration, clarification, or extension of management concepts. 5,000–8,000 words.
Literature Review
Comprehensive, protocol-driven review following PRISMA or equivalent guidelines. Includes meta-analysis or qualitative synthesis of existing research. Required: PRISMA flow diagram and study quality assessment. 8,000–15,000 words.
Case Study
In-depth analysis of an organizational, industry, policy, or project phenomenon. Rich contextual description with clear theoretical and practical implications. 4,000–6,000 words.
Technical Paper
Methodological innovations, measurement developments, analytical techniques, or research tools. Provides sufficient detail to enable replication or application by other scholars. 4,000–7,000 words.
Viewpoint
Thought-leadership, critical commentary, or agenda-setting essay on emerging issues in management. Grounded in relevant literature but oriented toward debate, reflection, or future directions. 3,000–5,000 words.
General Review
Integrative narrative or thematic review of a specific management domain. Synthesizes key streams of literature and outlines a future research agenda for scholars and practitioners. 5,000–9,000 words.
Formatting & Submission Requirements
Manuscript Format
- Language: English (British or American, used consistently).
- File format: DOC or DOCX (editable format only).
- Citation style: APA 7th Edition.
- Abstract: 150–250 words, structured.
- Keywords: 4–6 terms.
Author Requirements
- ORCID iD: Required for all authors.
- Corresponding author: Designated to handle all editorial communication.
- Anonymous version: A separate file with no author-identifying information for double-blind review.
- Ethical approvals: All permissions and IRB approvals documented.
- Originality: Work must not be published or under review elsewhere.

Peer Review Process
Initial Editorial Screening
Assessment of scope, methodology, and similarity index (Turnitin/iThenticate). Submissions failing this stage are desk-rejected.
7–14 daysDouble-Blind Peer Review
Manuscripts are evaluated by at least two independent reviewers with expertise in the relevant area. Neither authors nor reviewers know each other's identities.
21–28 daysEditorial Decision
Decisions include accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject. Authors are expected to address all reviewer comments carefully and submit a detailed response letter.
5–7 daysTypical Turnaround: Usually within 5–6 weeks from submission to first decision. GMR targets a first decision within 45 days, depending on reviewer availability and manuscript complexity.
Publication Ethics
GMR strictly adheres to Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines. We maintain zero tolerance for:
- Plagiarism and self-plagiarism (screened via Turnitin/iThenticate).
- Data fabrication or falsification.
- Undeclared use of AI/Generative tools (must be disclosed in Acknowledgments).
- Ghost, gift, or guest authorship.
- Conflicts of interest and funding sources must be declared clearly.
- Human and animal research must comply with relevant ethical standards.
Publication Schedule & License
Tri-Annual Publication
GMR publishes three issues per year: April, August, and December. Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis.

All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license. Authors retain copyright of their work.
